About "QRE"

"QRE" refers to Queen's Road East and represents a blend of Chinese and Western cultures. With its composition including both old and new buildings, it emerged as the happiest community amongst the 18 districts in Hong Kong.

As the city itself has rapidly developed, Wanchai has also continued to undergo urban renewal over the past few years. Many major development projects are centered around Queen's Road East. Alongside those major development projects, new commercial buildings with trendy restaurants, shops and new residential buildings, have made the area a magnet to young people and professionals. And yet, many of the old and traditional buildings that have long been prominent in the Wanchai district have stayed intact, preserving the area's unique culture. The old and the new are intricately interwoven. The traditional and modern buildings complement each other, revealing the uniqueness of the cityscape in Wanchai.
